Who Is Eminem

Eminem (born Marshall Bruce Mathers III on October 17, 1972, in Missouri) is a famous American rapper who was popular during the early and mid-2000s. He is often said to be the most famous rapper of all time but is also known for being incredibly controversial. His first album, Infinite, was released in 1996 shortly after the birth of his daughter. It was a commercial failure, so he remained in a crime-ridden area where he lived with his daughter and wife and washed dishes for a living. In 1997 he debuted his alter ego Slim Shady in 1997 which was an instant hit, despite the characters inclination for drugs and violence. He experienced a hiatus beginning in 2006, and released his next album Relapse in 2009.

Like Spears, Eminem's career and life has been unstable and easy for the media to pick apart. He was married to Kimberly Scott twice, and had a child with her. They divorced a second time in mid-2006, and split custody of their daughter. Eminem endured a serious drug addiction, and in 2007 he overdosed and was admitted to the hospital. Afterwards he checked himself into a rehabilitation clinic and has been sober since 2008.

Eminem's career has also been characterized by his many celebrity feuds and legal issues. He has been sued by multiple people in his life for defamation based on the way that he portrayed them in his music. His alter ego is not the only one who is violent either, as he has had many law suites regarding assaults in various forms. He has also been called homophobic by many people due to lyrics in his song, although those accusations lessened when he and Elton John publicly worked together.

Eminem and TMZ

Despite his constant behavioral issues, TMZ spent relatively little time discussing Eminem. There were no reports of his overdose or substance abuse issue, and while there was an article about him being hospitalized, it did not speculate on the reason. There were a few articles about his divorce and custody battles with Scott, but there were none discussing his parenting abilities. Occasionally, there were articles that discussed his assault issues, but they were few and far between. The most articles about him belonged to the Public Perception category, and the overall tone was mixed, with some articles viewing him positively and some viewing him negatively.
